What It Is:

A traditional English bitter beer making kit designed to help you brew approximately 40 pints (23 litres) of classic pint-style ale at home. It’s an extract kit that’s simple and consistent, making it a great choice for both beginners and more experienced home brewers.

• This kit produces a deep amber-coloured bitter with a rich, nutty flavour and a satisfying hop character — typical of traditional English bitters.  
• The beer generally finishes around ~4 % ABV, making it a well-balanced, session-friendly ale you can enjoy multiple pints of without being too heavy.  
• Expect a clear body and good head retention when properly conditioned.

What’s Included & What You Need

• 1.5 kg hopped malt extract and brewing yeast are included in the kit.  
• You’ll need to add ~1 kg of brewing sugar (or a beer kit enhancer for a fuller flavour) and clean water to reach the full 40 pints.  
• Basic brewing equipment — such as a fermenter, airlock, siphon, sanitizer and bottles or pressure barrel — is not included.

Brewing & Conditioning

• The wort (beer liquid) is made by mixing the malt extract with hot water, sugar and cold water to volume, then pitching the yeast.  
• Fermentation usually takes about 1 week depending on temperature, followed by bottle or keg conditioning for a few weeks to improve flavour and clarity.
